About Dr. Astha Parmar

Dr. Astha Parmar is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Shashwat Hospitals, Rajkot. She treats solid and blood cancers with systemic therapies — chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy — planned according to current evidence-based guidelines and discussed openly with each patient and their family.

She completed her MBBS at Medical College Baroda, Vadodara, followed by an MD in Radiation Oncology at B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad, and worked as a Senior Resident at the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI) across its Ahmedabad, Siddhpur, and Bhavnagar centres. She then earned her DM in Medical Oncology at Sri Aurobindo Medical College & PG Institute, Indore, and has undertaken observership training in medical oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

Having trained formally in both radiation oncology and medical oncology, she brings an understanding of the full spectrum of cancer treatment to planning each patient’s care. She holds the ESMO Certification in Medical Oncology, awarded by the European Society for Medical Oncology. She consults in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
